Exemplaire sur un flan très large et irrégulier, parfaitement centré avec les grènetis complets. Beau portrait de Justinien. Revers bien venu à la frappe. Patine marron superficielle

Obverse description : Buste casqué, diadémé et cuirassé de Justinien Ier de face avec pendilia, tenant de la main droite un globe crucigère et de la gauche un bouclier ; dans le champ à droite, une croix.

Justinian succeeded his uncle Justin in 527 after a co-regency from April 4 to August 1, 527. He reigned with Empress Theodora. The construction of Hagia Sophia was completed under his reign, which marks the height of the Byzantine conquests.
