Exemplaire sur un grand flan ovale et irrégulier, bien cnetré des deux côtés avec les grènetis complets. Beau portrait de Justinien Ier légèrement stylisé. Revers bien venu à la frappe. Patine marron foncé, légèrement granuleuse

Justinian succeeded his uncle Justin in 527 after a co-regency from April 4 to August 1, 527. He reigned with Empress Theodora. The construction of Hagia Sophia was completed under his reign, which marks the height of the Byzantine conquests.
