Commentary
Pendilia with pelleted ends. Studded and lined cuirass. Decorated shoulder guard. The shield is decorated with a galloping rider to the right. Our example belongs to the last series of folles struck from the year 23. On this example, the date is redone 23/22. Our follis indicates that the change in weight and diameter took place in the year 23 and not in the year 24. Normally, the number three is represented by three sticks and replaced here by a gamma. This type is in fact much rarer than general works suggest.
