Exemplaire sur un flan très large parfaitement centré des deux côtés avec les grènetis complets des deux côtés. Beau portrait de Justinien Ier. Joli revers. Belle patine verte légèrement granuleuse

Obverse description : Buste casqué, diadémé et cuirassé de Justinien Ier de face avec pendilia, tenant de la main droite un globe crucigère et de la gauche un bouclier ; dans le champ à droite, une croix.
Obverse translation : “Dominus Noster Iustinianus Perpetuus Augustus”, (Notre seigneur Justinien perpétuel auguste).

Justinian succeeded his uncle Justin in 527 after a co-regency from April 4 to August 1, 527. He reigned with Empress Theodora. The construction of Hagia Sophia was completed under his reign, which marks the height of the Byzantine conquests.
