Exemplaire sur un flan quadrangulaire irrégulier. Beau portrait. Joli revers bien centré. Jolie patine vert noir, légèrement granuleuse

Obverse description : Buste couronné et cuirassé de Justin II de face, tenant un globe crucigère de la main droite et un bouclier orné d’un cavalier de la main gauche.
Obverse translation : “Dominus Noster Iustinus Perpetuus Augustus”, (Notre seigneur Justin perpétuel auguste).

Reverse legend : A/N/N/O - III/ TES.
Reverse description : Grand K surmonté d'une croisette.

Commentary
Poids très léger. Ce type à été frappé de l’an 1 à l’an 6. Il n’y a pas d’officine pour ce type qui semble plus rare que ne le laissent supposer les ouvrages généraux.

(11/15/565-10/5/578)
Justin II, nephew of Justinian I, married Sophia, the niece of Theodora, in 548. They were crowned on November 20, 565. Justin deprived of reason, it was in fact Sophia who governed with the help of Narses, general-in-chief in Italy, which she ends up disgracing. He did not know how to face the problems and the invasions of the Lombards in Italy, the Visigoths in Spain, the Sassanids in the East. Crazy, Justin was associated with Tiberius as Caesar from 574, and for the last four years he was the de facto reigner. Tiberius II was associated as august in September 578. Justin died on October 5.
