Exemplaire sur un flan ovale court sur les légendes, bien centré. Frappe vigoureuse des deux cotés ce qui est rare pour la période ! Joli portrait bien venu à la frappe de Jovien. Petite faiblesse de frappe sur la tête de Rome au revers. Patine grise de collection ancienne

Obverse description : Buste diadémé, drapé et cuirassé de Jovin à droite, vu de trois quarts en avant (A’a) ; diadème perlé.

Obverse translation : “Dominus Noster Iovinus Pius Felix Augustus”, (Notre seigneur Jovin pieux et heureux auguste).

Reverse

Reverse legend : VICTOR-IA - AVGG/ -|-// SMLDV.

Reverse description : Rome assise à gauche sur une chaise curule, tenant un globe nicéphore de la main droite et une haste renversée de la gauche.

Reverse translation : “Victoria Augustorum”, (La Victoire des augustes).

Commentary

Portrait de très bon style. Rubans de type 3. Fibule d’attache sur l’épaule avec deux pendants. Au revers, nous avons une haste renversée et Rome est assise sur une chaise curule.
