Les médailles présentent quelques coups sur leurs tranches respectives. Bel état de conservation néanmoins. Le coffret a un peu souffert sur les bords

Ce coffret, fabriqué par la Japan Mint, présente deux médailles en étain de 22,32g et 28,42g. La première (22,32g) présente à l’avers l’entrée de la Japan Mint avec au revers une scène de tri et vérification de la monnaie. Dans la légende du revers, nous pouvons lire l’année, soit le nom de l’ère, Showa, la 16e année, ce qui correspond à l’année 1942. La seconde médaille (28,42g) un bosquet d’arbres en fleurs (des cerisiers probablement...) et au revers la vue sur l’usine de la Japan Mint. Il doit probablement s’agir de l’usine de frappe dans la préfecture d'Hiroshima qui fut construite en 1942..
This box set, made by the Japan Mint, features two tin medals weighing 22.32g and 28.42g. The first (22.32g) features the entrance to the Japan Mint on the obverse, with a scene of coin sorting and verification on the reverse. The legend on the reverse shows the year, the name of the era, Showa, the 16th year, which corresponds to the year 1942. The second medal (28.42g) features a grove of flowering trees (probably cherry trees...) and the reverse shows a view of the Japan Mint factory. This is probably the minting factory in Hiroshima Prefecture that was built in 1942.
