Taisho tenno Yoshihito was Emperor of Japan between 1912 and 1926. Third son and successor of Emperor Meiji, his reign is called "Taisho era" (or Great Rectitude). Under his reign, Japan strengthened its industrial and military power and took part alongside the Allies in the First World War..
