La monnaie est frappé sur un flan légèrement irrégulier, bien centrée de part et d’autre. Elle présente des faiblesses de frappe et des traces d’un ancien nettoyage. Les bustes au revers sont bien visibles. La pièce reste agréable et est couverte d’une patine homogène

Urbain had a long reign during which he was assisted by his brother Antoine Barberini. He condemned Gallileo for his Copernican theories. Urban VIII succeeded Gregory XV (1621-1623) and preceded Innocent X (1644-1655).
