Commentary

Pour ce millésime des pièces en or de 40 et 20 lires furent aussi fabriquées. Ces monnaies furent mises en oeuvre suite au décret du 27 mai 1848 et ne furent démonétisées qu'en 1927, malgré la loi autrichienne de démonétisation en 1848, rendant l'utilisation et la détention de ces pièces illégales.
For this vintage, 40 and 20 lire gold coins were also produced. These coins were implemented following the decree of May 27, 1848, and were not demonetized until 1927, despite the Austrian demonetization law of 1848, making the use and possession of these coins illegal.
