Petite faiblesse de frappe sur le lys au droit, quelques légères marques de manipulation et hairlines dans les champs. Sinon superbe exemplaire avec la quasi totalité du brillant d’origine et une jolie lumière

ITALY - GRAND DUCHY OF TUSCANY - LEOPOLD II
(1824-1859)
Leopold II of Tuscany (1797-1870) was the son of Ferdinand III of Tuscany (1769-1824) and Louise of the Two Sicilies (1773-1802). He is the nephew of Emperor Francis I of Habsburg. His sister, Thérèse, married Charles-Albert of Sardinia. He is an ultra-conservative. He succeeded his father in 1824. He was forced to abdicate in 1859 in favor of his son Ferdinand IV (1835-1908) who was himself overthrown the following year. Victor-Emmanuel II becomes king of unified Italy in 1861.
