Commentary

Gorizia se trouve à l'extrême est de la plaine du Pô, à la frontière italo-slovène. La ville fera partie des domaines habsbourgeois jusqu'en 1918 avec deux brèves interruptions : l'occupation vénitienne de 1508-1509 et l'inclusion dans les provinces illyriennes napoléoniennes.
