(1559-1623)

Albéric was born in 1532 from the union of Laurent Cybo and Richarden, daughter of Antoine Albéric Malaspina, marquis of Massa. In 1552 he married Elizabeth Della Rovere, daughter of Francis Mary I, Duke of Urbino. In 1553, on the death of his mother, he became Marquis de Massa. Emperor Ferdinand I granted him the right to mint coins by diploma of March 2, 1559. In 1568, Maximilian II erected the marquisate of Massa into a principality. He died in 1623.
