Reverse description : Écu couronné entouré du collier de l'Ordre de l’Annonciade entre deux branches d'olivier.
Reverse translation : (Duc de Savoie, de Gênes et Montferrat, prince du Piémont).

Commentary


Le type avec la tranche cannelée fut fabriqué suite aux lettres patentes du 29 mai 1832. Les pièces de 20 lires seront frappées pour les ateliers de Turin et de Gênes jusqu'à 1849.
The type with the fluted edge was produced following the letters patent of May 29, 1832. The 20 lire coins were struck for the Turin and Genoa mints until 1849.

(27/04/1831-24/03/1849)

Charles-Albert (2/10/1798- 28/08/1849) is the son of Charles-Emmanuel de Savoie. He succeeded his uncle in 1831. After the defeat of Novarre, he abdicated on March 24, 1849, in favor of his son Victor-Emmanuel II. He died in Porto on August 28 of the same year..
