Grand artisan dans son diocèse de la Réforme catholique voulue par le concile de Trente, il est considéré comme un modèle d'évêque post-tridentin. Canonisé dès 1610 par le pape Paul V, il est liturgiquement commémoré le 4 novembre..
The medal is preserved in its original cardboard box with a burgundy felt interior bordered by a gold band.
