Exemplaire sur un petit flan épais, un peu court au revers sur la légende. Beau portrait de Tyché. Revers de frappe un peu molle. Patine marron foncé granuleuse

IONIA - SMYRNA
(3rd - 2nd century BC)
Smyrna was one of the oldest cities in Ionia, destroyed in the 6th century BC by the Lydians. The city was refounded three centuries later by Antigone le Borgne at the end of the fourth century BC. After being called Eurydicieia under Lysimachus, Smyrna experienced great expansion after the Peace of Apamea (188 BC). VS.). It became one of the most powerful cities in Asia Minor under Roman rule. It is said to be the homeland of Homer.
