Exemplaire sur un petit flan ovale, parfaitement centré des deux côtés. Très joli droit, légèrement stylisé. Beau revers. Belle patine de collection ancienne avec des reflets gris foncés

IONIA - MILETUS
(6th - 5th century BC)
Miletus, founded in the 12th century BC, had been the seat of the Ionian Confederation. During the War of Liberation, it was crushed in 494 BC. Its cult of Apollo was renowned throughout Asia Minor. Its settlers founded, among others, the colonies of Abydos, Cyzicus, Sinope and Panticapaeum.
