Coments on the condition:
Exemplaire sur un flan large, parfaitement centré des deux côtés. Portrait légèrement stylisé d’Artémis magnifique où tous les détails de la chevelure sont visibles. Revers à l’usure superficielle où tous les détails anatomiques d’Apollon sont visibles. Recouvert d’une très jolie patine grise avec des reflets dorés

Reverse translation : (de Magnésie/ Apollodoros, Kallicratou).

Monétaires : Apollodoros, Kallicratou. Mêmes coins que l’exemplaire de la vente Numismatic Fine Arts 4, 24-25 mars 1977, n° 290, provenant du trésor de Kirikhan. Même coin de droit que l’exemplaire de la collection Pozzi, n° 2462.

Magnesia had been founded by the Magnetes, originating from Thessaly. The city, bathing at the foot of the Meander, was famous for its temple of Artemis Leucophyrene, built by Hermogenes around 190 BC and whose remains can still be admired today..
