Commentary

Jules, comte puis duc de Polignac est né le 7 juin 1745 à Claye-Souilly et est mort le 21 septembre 1817 à Saint - Petersbourg à l'âge de 72 ans.
Il épousa en 1767 Yolande de Polastron, amie de la reine Marie Antoinette et gouvernante des Enfants de France.
Il fut capitaine du Régiment de Royal-Dragons dont la devise était "Royal d'abord, Premier toujours".
