His epitaph was: Noble man Jean Gaigny, dean of the councilors, former alderman of the city of Paris, dean of the king's councilors, examining commissioner at the châtelet, died on March 28, 1669, and Marguerite d'Aubray, his widow Hybrid strike associating a right F. 3784 with a reverse F. 1183.
