Il fut prévôt des marchands de 1758 à 1764. D'abord Maître des Requêtes en 1726, il fut intendant de Bretagne de 1734 à 1752 C'est l'année suivante qu'il fut nommé conseiller d'Etat par semestre. Quelques détails à http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Viarmes
Le jeton de 1760 se trouve en deux versions, l’une avec une exergue de revers avec une guirlande, l’autre avec la légende VILLE DE PARIS. Dans ce cas le champ est vierge de texte.
He was provost of merchants from 1758 to 1764. First Master of Requests in 1726, he was intendant of Brittany from 1734 to 1752.
