Commentary

Corre affecte cette famille au Lyonnais, ce qui n’est pas l’opinion de Tricou. Effectivement, le maréchal de Villars acquis et vécu au chateau de Vaux le Vicomte donc dans la région parisienne.

Corre assigns this family to the Lyonnais, which is not Tricou's opinion. Indeed, Marshal de Villars acquired and lived at the Chateau de Vaux le Vicomte, therefore in the Paris region. Wikipedia explains that upon the Marshal's death in 1734, the Marshal left the chateau, which she considered too expensive to manage, and retired to the Chateau d'Athis.
