HUY - CONRAD II CALLED "LE SALIQUE"

(26/03/1027-04/06/1039)

Conrad was born around 990. He was crowned emperor in Rome on March 26, 1027 by Pope John XIX and was the founder of the Salian dynasty. He had his son Henry (future Henry III) crowned during his lifetime, in Aix-la-Chapelle, by the Archbishop of Cologne. He died in Utrecht on June 4, 1039.
