D’après nos recherches en archives, 2.680 marcs de billon ont été frappés en 1594 à Tours permettant d’estimer la production à 273.360 douzains. Pour cette production 381 douzains ont été mis en boîte. Ces monnaies, avec un soleil avant SIT, différent du maître Martial Vouzelle, furent mises en circulation suite à 18 délivrances entre le 29 avril et le 23 décembre 1594.
According to our archival research, 2,680 billon marks were minted in Tours in 1594, allowing us to estimate the total production at 273,360 douzains. Of this production, 381 douzains were boxed. These coins, bearing a sun before the initials (SIT), different from those of the master Martial Vouzelle, were put into circulation following 18 issues between April 29 and December 23, 1594.
