Les rares monnaies du type de Ménestreau ont été découvertes en France et en Suisse. Leur attribution est donc discutable... Cet exemplaire est très proche du n° 102 de Sills (du musée de Zurich) ; les deux sont frappés avec les mêmes coins de droit et de revers.

These early staters are the first gold coins, imitated from the stater of Philip II, circulating in Gaul. If many types are distinguished, mainly from the workshop of the prototype and the style, their map of distribution often makes futile this or that attribution to this or that people modeled on the geography "à la Julius César", contemporary with the Gallic Wars!
