Exemplaire sur un petit flan épais, bien centré avec les grènetis visibles. Portrait de toute beauté où tous les détails de la chevelure sont visibles. Très joli revers de style fin. Magnifique patine marron glacé avec des reflets métalliques mordorés. Conserve l’intégralité de son brillant de frappe et de son coupant d’origine

Wife of Constantius I, mother of Constantine I - Augusta

Helena, mother of Constantine and first wife of Constantius Chlorus, received the title of augusta in 324. After the death of Fausta and Crispus, she went to the Holy Land. In Jerusalem, she discovered remains of the true cross and founded many institutions. She died in 328, was sanctified and entered in the calendar.
