Commentary
These gossips are of a particular type and style on the obverse, while the reverse is comparable to that of the gossips with the ensign boar of class Ia attributed to the Leuques. On this example, the style of the head is quite unusual.

Historical background
HIGH AND MIDDLE SEINE
(2nd - 1st century BC)
Under this term are brought together two large distinct but homogeneous groups, and an isolated potin. A few years ago, all of these coins would have been attributed to the Leuques without a shadow of hesitation. It is the systematic reclassification of emissions that now makes it possible to provide a different hypothesis.
