Reverse legend : MONE-TA AVG.
Reverse description : Moneta (la Monnaie) drapée debout à gauche, tenant une balance de la main droite et une corne d’abondance de la main gauche.
Reverse translation : “Moneta Augusti”, (La Monnaie de l’auguste).
Commentary
Poids léger. Monnaie fourrée. Revers très important, utilisé pour la première fois dans le monnayage en tant que tel après l’installation du nouvel atelier de Rome sous le règne de Domitien. Sera ensuite repris par Antonin, Septime Sévère et Élagabal.
