Obverse description : La République assise à gauche, drapée et tenant dans sa main droite une gerbe de blé et dans sa main gauche une balance, appuyée sur un autel ayant pour légende 30/ DE/ JUNIO/ DE/ 1871 et au bas duquel on voit des chaînes brisées ; signé LAGRANGE à l'exergue.

Reverse

Reverse legend : 0,835 1894.

Reverse description : dans une couronne formée de deux branches d’olivier, deux épées et deux fusils croisent le fer ; au centre une affiche sur laquelle est inscrite LIBERTAD/ 15/ DE/ SETIEMBRE/ DE/ 1821 pour célébrer l’indépendance du pays ; surmontée d’un quetzal.
