Commentary
La date inscrite au revers “21 avril 1967” correspond à la date du coup d’état qui instaura la “Dictature des colonels” menée par Geórgios Papadópoulos. Le phoenix et le soldat fusil à l’épaule deviennent les symboles de la junte. Le roi Constantin II reste roi tout en étant éxilé en Italie. La monarchie est définitivement abolie en 1973.
