Exemplaire sur un flan large, ovale, bien centré avec les grènetis visibles. Portrait de toute beauté, large. Frappe un peu molle sur Diane au revers. Servi par une magnifique patine avec des reflets dorés. Ayant conservé son brillant de frappe

Gordian III is the grandson of Gordian I and the nephew of Gordian II, ephemeral emperors of the year 238. At the request of the people of Rome, he is chosen as Caesar by Balbin and Pupian and succeeds them after their assassinations.
