Exemplaire sur un flan ovale bien centré avec les grènetis visibles. Beau buste de Gordien III. Frappe un peu molle au revers. Patine de collection ancienne avec des reflets dorés

Gordian III is the grandson of Gordian I and the nephew of Gordian II, ephemeral emperors of the year 238. At the request of the people of Rome, he is chosen as Caesar by Balbin and Pupian and succeeds them after their assassinations.
