Exemplaire sur un flan large et ovale bien centré des deux côtés avec les grènetis complets. Beau portrait de Gordien III. Joli revers finement détaillé. Belle patine grise superficielle avec des reflets dorés. Conserve la plus grande partie de son brillant de frappe et de son coupant d’origine

Gordian III is the grandson of Gordian I and the nephew of Gordian II, ephemeral emperors of the year 238. At the request of the people of Rome, he is chosen as Caesar by Balbin and Pupian and succeeds them after their assassinations.
