Exemplaire de qualité exceptionnelle sur un flan large et irrégulier avec les grènetis visibles. Portrait de Géta fantastique. Joli revers de haut relief. Belle patine de médaillier avec des reflets mordorés. Conserve la plus grande partie de son brillant de frappe et de son coupant d’origine

Caesar

Born on May 26, 189, Geta became Caesar in 198 and received the title of pontifex the following year. He accompanies his father and his brother to Brittany from 208 and is raised to Augustat the following year. When Septimius Severus died in York on February 4, 211, the two brothers brought their father's ashes back to Rome and became co-emperors. But they hate each other. Finally, after a year of joint rule, Caracalla kills his brother in their mother's arms. Geta is dedicated to "damnatio memoriæ" (damnation of memory). His supporters are systematically massacred.
