Georges-Guillaume (1784-1860) was Count then Prince of Schaumbourg-Lippe from 1787 until his death. Born in Bückeburg, Georges-Guillaume is the fourth son of Count Philippe II of Schaumbourg-Lippe, the only one by his second wife Julienne of Hesse-Philippsthal. He was the only son of Philippe to survive his father, and became a count on his death on February 13, 1787. He was only two years old on that date, and his mother ensured the regency.
