Situé en Georgie-du-Sud, Grytviken est une ancienne station baleinière fondée par des pêcheurs norvégiens. L’église a été construite en 1913 à partir d’éléments préfabriqués en Norvège.L’explorateur Ernest Shackleton repose dans le cimetière des chasseurs de baleine de Grytviken.
