Obverse legend : ANÉPIGRAPHE.

Obverse description : Tête à gauche ; avec une rangée d'esses, mèche sur le front et favori court devant l'oreille ; œil de profil ; cou assez court et deux dauphins devant le visage.

Reverse

Reverse legend : ANÉPIGRAPHE.

Reverse description : Croix formée de quatre cantons ; rouelle cantonnée d’une lunule dans chaque canton au 1er canton, sorte de marguerite au 2e, une hache évidée à talon court au 3e et une marguerite inscrite dans un cercle au 4e canton.

Commentary

La drachme S. 154 n’a pas de dauphin devant le visage alors que la monnaie S. 154 bis en a (MONNAIES XXIII, n° 736). Sur cet exemplaire, un des deux dauphins est bien net devant le portrait.
Ce type de monnaie, rare par ailleurs, était largement représenté dans le trésor de Dunes (Tarn-et-Garonne).
