Petit flan, légèrement ébréché, concave au revers. Fine patine grise sur l’ensemble de cette monnaie bien centrée

Commentary

Cette obole a un revers au sanglier comparable à la monnaie bga_148561, mais le droit n’a pas du tout la tête de face que l’on retrouve sur les monnaies du Pont de la Chaloire. Sur cet exemplaire, le droit rappelle plutôt la tête d’Apollon telle qu’elle se présente sur les oboles au cavalier.
This obol has a reverse with a boar comparable to the coin bga_148561, but the obverse does not have the head on the front that we find on the coins from the Pont de la Chaloire. On this example, the obverse is more reminiscent of the head of Apollo as it appears on the horseman obols
