Commentary
Like DT. S99A, this coin is distinguished from the classic DT. 99 by an ornament possibly representing an ear pendant. This specific type is taken up by J. Sills as class Ic of which he lists six examples, making it the best-represented class. The two pine cones (?) in front of the face are rarely visible; they are reminiscent of the motif found under the chin on certain Parisii staters.
