Sur cet exemplaire qui appartiendrait à la classe Ig1, le sanglier est encore assez naturel alors qu’il a la forme d’une arche pour la classe Ig2. La croix du revers pourrait être assimilée au lis des classes Ih et j.
On this specimen, which would belong to class Ig1, the boar is still quite natural, whereas it has the shape of an arch for class Ig2. The cross on the reverse could be assimilated to the lily of classes Ih and j

The Leuques are mentioned only once in the Gallic Wars. Their neighbors were the Médiomatriques, the Lingons and the Séquanes. The Leuques as well as the Séquanes and the Lingones provided Caesar with wheat when the Roman army stopped at Vesontio (Besançon) to refuel before facing the Germans of Ariovistus (58 BC).
