Très bel exemplaire sur un flan court et idéalement centré. Les deux côtés sont bien venus à la frappe, avec de superbes détails au droit et au revers. Patine de collection

GALLIA - AULERCI EBUROVICES (Area of Évreux)

The Aulerci were subdivided into three tribes: Aulerci Diablintes, Aulerci Cenomani and Aulerci Éburovices. The territory of Aulerques Éburovices corresponds to the current department of Eure. They are quoted several times in Caesar's Commentaries. According to the latter, they would have massacred their Senate favorable to the Romans in 56 BC and would have joined the Unelles and the revolted Lexoviens. In 52 BC, they provided a contingent of three thousand men to the relief army. : Caesar (BG.(II, 34; III, 17, 29; VII, 4, 75; VIII, 7). Kruta: 72.
