Triens intéressant, sur un flan large et ovale, mais encore trop court pour la taille des coins. Avers complet avec une partie de la légende en bord de flan, mais revers avec une faiblesse de frappe

Commentary

Ce genre de monnaie est très difficile à classer précisément. Les monnaies n° 5306 à 5315 du Belfort sont mises à part et attribuées en fonction de la lettre présente dans le champ du droit ou du revers. Toutes ces monnaies ont une tête à droite. Notre exemplaire a bien une petite lettre devant la bouche (un C). Bien que la lettre ne corresponde pas, le style de notre triens est très proche du B. 5334 avec la même tête à gauche.
This type of coin is very difficult to classify precisely. Coins No. 5306 to 5315 from Belfort are set apart and attributed according to the letter present in the obverse or reverse field.
