Commentary
Pierre-François Henry, docteur en droit, fut reçu avocat en la cité le 5 avril 1625. Il fut gouverneur de 1642 à 1643, de 1646 à 1649, de 1652 à 1655, de 1657 à 1666 et en 1668, en assumant également des fonctions de plénipotentiaire en Espagne et dans les Pays-Bas. Il était auditeur des comptes du maître de la Monnaie en 1644, 1664 et 1665 et fut nommé membre du Conseil de Guerre le 10 mai 1653 et membre de la commission responsable du trésor et de l’imprimerie de la cité le 1er juillet 1653.
Pierre-François Henry, doctor of law, was admitted as a lawyer in the city on April 5, 1625. He was governor from 1642 to 1643, from 1646 to 1649, from 1652 to 1655, from 1657 to 1666 and in 1668, also assuming plenipotentiary functions in Spain and the Netherlands. He was auditor of the accounts of the master of the mint in 1644, 1664 and 1665 and was appointed member of the Council of War on May 10, 1653 and member of the commission responsible for the treasury and the printing of the city on July 1, 1653
