Pièce de la série “Les grands navires français” lancée en 2012. Cette série sur cinq ans (2012-2016) se compose de 3 pièces par an, soit un total de 15 navires mis à l’honneur. Chaque année sera mis en avant un voilier, un bâtiment militaire et un paquebot, soit pour 2012:
- la frégate l’Hermione
- le porte-hélicoptère La Jeanne d’Arc
- le paquebot Le France
L’Hermione, frégate de guerre française, navigua de 1779 à 1793. Célèbre pour avoir amené le marquis de La Fayette aux États-Unis en 1780, elle a fait l’objet d’une reconstitution depuis 1987. Cette réplique a été mis à l’eau en juillet 2012
