1916 est une année particulièrement meurtrière avec les batailles majeures de Verdun et de la Somme. Ces dernières constituent le thème de la 3e année de cette série “Les hommes et les femmes dans la Grande Guerre”. Vie civile et vécu au front demeurent le fil conducteur, avec cette année, la correspondance par courrier entre les soldats et leurs marraines de guerre. Un continuum graphique entre la face et le revers de chacune des monnaies est reconduit..
Proof coin presented in its case with cardboard cartouche and numbered certificate (no. 1009). 1916 was a particularly bloody year with the major battles of Verdun and the Somme.
