Cette 50 Euro en argent a cours légal mais uniquement en France. Cette pièce dont le thème est “La Semeuse” fait partie d’une série de 8 pièces de circulation en métaux précieux or et argent. En 2008 ont été émises les pièces de 5 et 15 Euro argent et 100 Euro or; en 2009 les 10 et 25 Euro argent et la 250 Euro or. Pour finir en 2010 sont émises les pièces de 50 Euro argent et 500 Euro or. Cette série est composée comme une bande-dessinée, chaque coupure détaillant un geste de la semeuse. Mises bout à bout les pièces composent le portrait de la semeuse lançant des étoiles.
