La Monnaie de Paris débute en 2010 une série de 26 pièces de 10 Euro illustrant chacune des 26 régions françaises (plus Mayotte en 2011). L’avers de chaque pièce est illustré avec les emblèmes héraldiques traditionnels de chaque région, ainsi que les limites géographiques de celle-ci.
Le tirage global de la série 2010 est de 4.000.000 de pièces. Mais les tirages diffèrent d’une région à l’autre allant de 50.000 exemplaires pour la Guyane ou la Champagne-Ardenne à 500.000 pour l’Ile de France..
Circulating commemorative coin from the 26 Euro regional series. This 10 Euro silver coin is legal tender but only in France. In 2010, the Monnaie de Paris began a series of 26 10 Euro coins illustrating each of the 26 French regions (plus Mayotte in 2011). The obverse of each coin is illustrated with the traditional heraldic emblems of each region, as well as its geographical boundaries. The total mintage of the 2010 series is 4,000,000 coins.
