La monnaie Dagobert représente un Triens mérovingien en or, valant un tiers de sou. Au temps de Dagobert, les monnaies d’or étaient le solidus (ou sou), le semi (ou demi-sou) et le triens. Un sou valait 40 deniers d’argent.
