Marc Labouret dira même que cette loge soutiendra une active propagande en faveur du projet d’éducation laïque. Parmi les membres célèbres de cette loge, on compte Jules Ferry, initié le 8 juillet 1875. Cette loge fusionne avec la Science et Travail en 1921 et devient la Persévérance.
