Commentary

L’Histoire garde le souvenir d’Henriette d’Entragues, l’une des maîtresses d’Henri IV. Louis-César Crémeaux, marquis d’Entragues, était lieutenant général au gouvernement de Mâconnais, le jeton peut d’ailleurs être classé à Macon. Bibliophile éclairé, il est mort en 1747.
History remembers Henriette d'Entragues, one of Henry IV's mistresses. Louis-César Crémeaux, Marquis d'Entragues, was a lieutenant general in the Mâconnais government; the token can also be classified as a Macon. An enlightened bibliophile, he died in 1747.
